ID verification
To list items for sale, sellers must complete identity verification through Stripe, our payment partner. ID documents are uploaded directly to Stripe and stored only by Stripe. Sailor's Corner never sees, stores, or has access to seller ID documents. We only receive a verification status (verified / not verified) from Stripe.
What data we collect
We collect the account information you provide when you register, the listings and content you post, the messages you exchange with other users, and the payment information needed to complete an order — which is handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
How we use it
We use your information to run the marketplace, process and fulfil orders, communicate with you about your account, and detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
Who we share it with
We share information with the processors that help us operate — our payment, hosting, and email providers — and where we are required to by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Exact retention periods will be confirmed after legal review.
